NIHS students put in an outstanding performance at West Lakes for both the individual and team triathlon events, finishing second overall in the school rankings. 18 students took on the challenge and there were several standout individual achievements, including Thomas, who placed 4th in the Intermediate Boys State Championships and dominated the bike leg with a winning margin of over two minutes. Oscar secured 10th in the Junior Boys State Championships, while Sofia and Willow claimed 1st place in the Senior Girls and Intermediate Girls short course events respectively. Strong results continued with Remy finishing 2nd in the Senior Boys short course and Maximo taking 2nd in the Junior Boys short course. NIHS also celebrated a major team success, winning 1st place in the Intermediate Mixed Teams triathlon.

Beyond the results, every NIHS competitor gave their absolute best, supporting each other, pushing through tough conditions, and demonstrating remarkable determination from start to finish. Students showed tremendous resilience throughout the day, and excitement is already building for the 2026 edition.
