Teamwork and Success at The Bend 6-Hour Pedal Prix Race

Norwood International High School’s Pedal Prix teams recently travelled to the six-hour event at Shell V-Power Motorsport Park, enjoying a fantastic day of racing, teamwork, and determination. Students represented the school with pride both on and off the track throughout the event.

Five teams competed across the day (XP8, Spurls, Protégé, Astro, and Enigma) with all riders demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and commitment during the challenging six-hour endurance race format.

Congratulations to Spurls, who achieved an outstanding first place in the Senior School All-Female category. Enigma also celebrated a strong result, placing second in the Middle School All-Female category. A special congratulations also goes to Grace S from Spurls, who recorded the fastest lap in the Senior School All-Female category with an impressive time of 3:34.310.

This season has seen the introduction of Team Leaders across all Norwood International High School Pedal Prix teams. Team Leaders play an important role in supporting the organisation, culture, and success of each team, helping to encourage riders, assist with team operations, model positive sportsmanship, and promote a safe and supportive environment both on and off the track. Thank you to our student Team Leaders for this race; Grace S and Willow (Spurls), Luca and Noah (XP8), Allegra and Violet (Enigma), Aditya and Hudson (Astro), and Albert and Austin (Protégé); for the leadership, responsibility, and commitment they demonstrated throughout the event.

We would also like to sincerely thank our Team Managers, Team Mechanic and volunteer Marshals for generously giving their time and supporting students throughout the event. Their efforts behind the scenes play a vital role in the success of the program and help create such a positive and supportive team environment.
