Synopsis

Oscar Wilde’s Salome is a dark and provocative tragedy set in the court of King Herod. Captivated by the imprisoned prophet Jokanaan (John the Baptist), Salome becomes obsessed with him, but he rejects her advances. When King Herod offers Salome anything she desires in exchange for performing the Dance of the Seven Veils, she demands Jokanaan’s head on a silver platter. Her disturbing request unleashes a chain of events driven by desire, obsession, power and revenge, culminating in a shocking and tragic finale.
