Studio Experience

Immersive Virtual Reality Lab

Yesterday we launched into our first Studio program at Norwood International High School! It was an amazing session for all involved.

Studio is a program that allows students to explore a topic of their interest and develop their IB Learner Profile attributes outside of the formal curriculum offerings. The program offers a variety of courses and activities that are designed to challenge students and help them grow as learners.

Students participated in a variety of engaging programs designed by our staff. These programs were developed based on student feedback to ensure we are meeting the passions and interests of all learners.

Students participated in programs from Shakespeare to Historical Walks, from being a Barista to Baking. Some students even started designing experiences in the new Immersive Virtual Reality lab and becoming student lab champions! There was also a hive of activity outdoors with students engaging in Fitness and AFL academies, as well as understanding of what we can learn from our First Nations people when designing a sustainable garden. There was truly a program for every student and we can’t wait to see this program evolve into one where students are actually taking charge!
