Rock-climbing, Bush Walking and Orienteering Camp
During Term 2 Week 4, Year 9 students attended an outstanding three-day outdoor education camp that took them to both Morialta Conservation Park and up to Mt Crawford Forest. From cliff faces to mountain summits, the camp challenged students in every sense, but it was an awesome experience.
Day 1: Rock Climbing & Abseiling
Students tackled the stunning terrain of Morialta Conservation Park, testing their courage and technique on the rock face.
Day 2: Summit Hike at Mt Crawford
Pushing through the challenge, students completed the full hike to the summit of Mt Crawford for well-earned panoramic views.
Day 3: Orienteering at Chalks
The camp wrapped with a competitive orienteering challenge through Chalks Campground, putting navigation skills to the test.
Skills in action
Beyond the activities themselves, students demonstrated a genuinely impressive range of outdoor skills throughout the camp. Each day brought new opportunities to practise and refine the capabilities that make outdoor education so valuable.
Skills used included:
