Boys Volleyball
Senior A2 – NIHS defeated by St Paul’s College (0–2)
The Senior A2 boys’ volleyball team were unable to overcome a strong opponent in St Paul’s College, going down in straight sets on Friday afternoon. Lucas was credited for his strong performance in the loss however, showcasing his strengths on court.

Senior B2 – NIHS defeated by St Paul’s College (0–2)
In almost a carbon copy of the Senior A game, the Senior B2 team was overpowered by St Paul’s College despite displaying moments of brilliance. Noah stood out as a key player for NIHS, making several crucial plays to help keep the boys in with a fighting chance. However ultimately St Paul’s proved too disciplined and consistent, closing out the match in straight sets.

Middle C2 – NIHS defeated Blackfriars College (2–1)
The Middle C2 were unable to successfully their unbeaten streak alive despite facing their strongest test yet against Blackfriars College. Samuel was instrumental in the team’s success, showcasing a strong attacking game that he has come to be renowned for.

Mixed Badminton
Senior A1 – NIHS defeated by Prince Alfred College (3–6)
The Senior A1 badminton travelled to Prince Alfred College to take on one the competitions’ strongest. The boys proved they were up for the challenge however, securing wins in multiple doubles ties. Unfortunately, there were some agonisingly close singles matches decided in the 3rd set in favour of the hosts that allowed them to secure the team win 3-6. Lachlan was the standout player for NIHS, delivering the teams only singles tie win, emphasising his steep growth within the sport in recent years.

Senior B1 – NIHS defeated by Prince Alfred College (4–8)
Much like the A1’s, the Senior B1 team also found themselves in a competitive match that ultimately swung the way of the same opposition in the end (4-8). Sanuth provided a bright spark for the team with his strong performances in both singles and doubles, with team camaraderie a feature of play on Saturday.

Senior C – NIHS defeated by Gleeson College (4–8)
The Senior C team played well without the overall team reward against Gleeson College at home on Saturday, eventually falling 4-8 in total matches. With some strong efforts across the board, Natsumi was the standout performer showing great improvement across sets in her singles match despite a loss.

Middle A2 Navy – NIHS Navy defeated NIHS Red (9–0)
In what was an all NIHS middle school badminton clash over the weekend, Middle A2 Navy were able to comfortably claim bragging rights over their Red A2 counterparts (9-0). Kenneth was outstanding for the Navy team in winning both his doubles and singles ties, stamping his claims as one of the top middle years’ players. Siyong battled bravely for the Red team despite the heavy defeat.

Middle B2 Navy – NIHS Navy defeated NIHS Red (12–0)
The Middle B2 Navy team, much like the A2 Navy group were also dominant in outclassing The NIHS Red team, with the final score reading 12-0. Shanel was excellent in both singles and doubles, winning comfortably in both. Despite heavy losses, Meerab was recognised for her strong performance and resilience for the B2 Red team.

Year 7 – NIHS defeated Prince Alfred College (7–5)
A close but well-fought match saw the Year 7 team edge out Prince Alfred College 7-5 who presented as their strongest opponents yet. The team played with heart to fight off a gallant PAC with Youan the standout performer, providing key wins and stepping up when the pressure was on, securing the vital points for the victory.

Middle Tennis
Middle C2 – NIHS defeated Rostrevor College (9–3)
The Middle C2 tennis team dominated Rostrevor College, winning 9-3. The team’s strong serving and consistent groundstrokes were key, with Lucas delivering one of the standout individual performances, securing crucial wins in singles and doubles.

Girls Basketball
Year 7 C2 – NIHS defeated St Michael’s College (Forfeit)
The Year 7 C2 girls’ basketball team were awarded victory after St Michael’s College forfeited the match. NIHS will be looking forward to their return to the court next week.
Girls Volleyball
Senior A – NIHS – BYE
No Senior A girls’ volleyball team had a bye this week and will be looking forward to their next fixture.
Senior B2 – NIHS defeated Mary Mackillop College (3–0)
A strong showing from Hannah helped lead the Senior B team to a dominant 3-0 victory in their match against MMC. The girls were exceptional from start to finish setting the tone with their energy and commitment.

Middle A – NIHS – BYE
The Middle A girls’ team had a bye and will use the time to prepare for next week’s match.
Middle B2 – NIHS defeated by Marryatville High School (0–2)
The Middle B2 were left to compete with only 5 players after some late withdraws impacting them on Saturday. Despite the adversity, the girls, led by star player Alyssa dug deep to compete with a strong Marryatville opponent. Unfortunately, the weight of numbers won out in the end, with MHS running away 2-0 winners.

Middle C2 – NIHS defeated by St Paul’s College (1–2)
In a hard-fought match, the Middle C2 team was narrowly defeated by St Paul’s College who stormed back after losing the first set to claim a 1-2 win. despite their best efforts. Yodi was excellent in the loss, earning her best player honours for the match.

Year 7 C – NIHS defeated by St Michael’s College (0–2)
It was a challenging morning for the Year 7 C team who fought hard but came up short against St Michael’s College, losing 0-2. Aliyah continued her strong form for the girls who will look to bounce back next week.

Middle B1 – NIHS defeated by Prince Alfred College (PAC 7/213, NIHS 7/132)
The Middle B1 cricket team took to the field first in their clash with Prince Alfred College who went on to post a healthy total of 7/213 from their 20 overs, helped by some wayward bowling. Rishi and Akshath put together a strong partnership in the run chase however the team ultimately fell 81 runs short as they were bowled out for a respectable total of 132.
