BOYS VOLLEYBALL:
The Senior A3 boys continued their stellar season securing a convincing 3-0 win against St. Ignatius on the back of strong efforts from Daniel and Evan. The Senior B3 team, aided by strong performances from Stefan and Abdullah went on to mirror this success, also running away with a 2-1 victory. Additionally, the Middle B boys carried on the winning form dispatching Pembroke School with another resounding 3-0 win.

MIXED BADMINTON:
It was a mixed bag of results for NIHS in the badminton competitions. Whilst the Senior B2 team demonstrated their prowess with a commendable 7-5 win against Blackfriars Priory School, our other teams faced tough competition across the board. The Senior A1 and Senior B1 teams experienced defeats against Prince Alfred College whilst Blackfriars accounted for the A2 side. Despite the losses, Ivan, Mayra and Lachlan were all recognised for their efforts on Saturday morning.

MIDDLE TENNIS:
The middle tennis team flexed their muscles in the sunshine on Saturday morning, securing a sound 9-1 victory against St Peter’s College. The team’s strong performance reflects their continued dedication to improve under new coach Will, emphasised by the improved efforts demonstrated by Olivia and Luofei.

GIRLS BASKETBALL:
In a challenging encounter, the Middle Girls team faced off against Marryatville over the weekend and despite their best efforts, were unable to overcome an outfit too strong for their division.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL:
The success of the girls’ volleyball continues to grow at NIHS with all teams exhibiting strong performances various senior and middle divisions. The Senior B1 team continued their strong form with a commanding 3-0 victory over St Aloysius College thanks to solid showings from Evie and Lily. A similar story eventuated out of the Senior C1 (1) match whereby the girls notched up another convincing win against St Michaels College (2-0) on the back of the strong efforts of Mia and Caitlin. Unfortunately, it was a nail-biting loss for the for Senior C1 (2) team whose match was decided by total points (60-66) after sets were tied at 1-1 against St Ignatius College.
The strong form continued for our Middle B1 and Middle B2 teams who claimed victories against Sacred Heart College (3-0) and St Aloysius College (2-1) respectively. Special mentions must go to both Chloe’s who brought their A game on Saturday to dominate the court and help smash out a win for the B1 side. Unfortunately, the Middle C1 and Year 7C girls were unable to overcome Kildare College (0-3) and Mary MacKillop (2-1) in their matches despite the best efforts of all involved.

CRICKET:
The Middle B1 boys were looking to get back to winning ways as they faced off against Pulteney Grammar School. The batting arsenal kicked things off in managing a total of 72, thanks to a strong showing from Gill. Unfortunately, this was not enough to fend off PGS who chased the total down in 13 overs. Well done to Rishi and Kabir who performed well with the ball, claiming a pair of wickets each.
