Recently, selected students had the experience of travelling to Japan for a Study Tour to experience the culture and visit one of our Sister Schools. Please enjoy the photos and experiences below.
Takahashi High School Experience
Our experience at Takahashi High School (THS) was truly exceptional. From the warm welcome at Takahashi Station, any initial concerns were quickly relieved by the school’s supportive and friendly atmosphere. The school offered a comprehensive program that included traditional activities such as a tea ceremony, Japanese cooking lessons, and calligraphy, along with an unforgettable day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima. Undoubtedly, the highlight was the homestay experience, which fostered meaningful friendships with both host families and school buddies. With solid bonds formed during our stay, the farewell party was a touching occasion filled with joy, laughter, and heartfelt goodbyes.
Sightseeing in Osaka and Tokyo
Our trip began in Tokyo, one of Japan’s most iconic cities. Although initially overwhelmed by the busy business districts and dense population, we adjusted quickly. Our itinerary included visits to landmarks such as the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, Meiji Shrine, Shibuya Crossing, and Shibuya Sky. However, for many students, the highlight was shopping at Mega Don Quijote. In Osaka, the main attraction was undoubtedly Universal Studios Japan, where we spent the entire day from early morning until late night enjoying rides and the Halloween atmosphere with costumed zombies. We concluded our journey in Kyoto, fascinated by the historic and traditional Fushimi Inari Shrine.
