Art, Design and Media Exhibition – Discover

On Wednesday 20 November, Norwood International High School proudly opened its 2025 Art, Design and Media Exhibition, aptly titled ‘Discover‘. This vibrant showcase of student talent brought together our school community to celebrate creativity, innovation, and the power of artistic expression.

Congratulations to all students from Year 7 to Year 12 whose works were featured in the exhibition. Each entry demonstrated exemplary creativity and skill across a diverse range of specialist art areas, reflecting the hard work and dedication of our young artists. The exhibition not only highlighted individual talent but also served as a testament to the collaborative spirit of our school.

The theme ‘Discover’ encouraged students to draw inspiration from the world around them. Many artworks explored various movements, cultures, and pressing societal issues, offering a rich tapestry of perspectives that resonated with viewers. From vivid paintings to intricate designs, the students used their art to communicate powerful messages and share their unique viewpoints.

We are thrilled to announce the winners of the overall Year level prizes, selected by our devoted teaching cohort:

  • Year 7: Marina
  • Year 8: Yutong
  • Year 9: Yadvi
  • Year 10: Yuka
  • Year 11: Isabella
  • Year 12: Marie

These students stood out not only for their artistic prowess but also for their ability to convey deep narratives through their work. Each piece was a reflection of their personal journeys and the themes that resonate with them.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended the opening ceremony and supported our young artists. Your presence helped make the event memorable and meaningful. A special acknowledgment goes to our dedicated Art, Design, and Media teachers, whose continuous support and passion for the arts inspire our students to reach new heights.

As we celebrate this year’s exhibition, we look forward to seeing how our students will continue to discover new ideas and express their creativity in the future. Let this event be a reminder of the vibrant artistic community we have at Norwood International High School and the limitless possibilities that lie ahead.
