Basketball
The Senior teams enjoyed a successful weekend with the A3, B3, and C3 teams all securing impressive wins over St Peter’s College, headlined by the B3 team that dominated in a 91–30 victory led by Lachlan. Burhan was a strong performer in the A match, finding his way to the basket in impressive style on multiple occasions.
Middle Basketball saw a clean sweep, with the A3, B3, and C3 teams all claiming solid wins over St Peter’s College.
Soccer
In Senior Soccer, the First XI delivered a commanding 6–0 win over Pulteney High School, continuing their strong season form and cementing their place in the top 4 and resulting finals series. Anan & Archie both scored braces to star in the victory.
Unfortunately, all Saturday matches were cancelled due to inclement weather and poor pitch condition.
Table Tennis
Mixed results in the Friday night Table Tennis encounter with Pulteney Grammar School. The Middle C1 team, helped by a standout performance from Shun recorded a strong victory, whilst the Middle C2 team were unable to contend with the strength of a superior Pulteney outfit despite a strong showing by Doruk.
Girls Badminton
The Girls Badminton teams had a solid showing this week with both the Middle A and C1 teams victorious. The C1 team narrowly edged out St Aloysius College in an exciting high- match that was ultimately decided on total points after securing 3 matches each (112–108). Nitya played superbly to help secure the win for the girls. The A team, claimed a comfortable 5-1 win over St. Michaels, helped strongly by Raine & Gabriella who were recognised for their efforts on the day. Unfortunately, the Middle C2 team was defeated by St Dominic’s Priory College, while the Senior A/B side went down to a strong Nazareth College outfit.
Girls Netball
A disrupted weekend of netball saw both the Year 8/9 C1 and Year 7 C2 teams awarded wins on the back of opposition forfeits, while the Year 7 B2 team was defeated by Sacred Heart College in a competitive match (8-20).
